Senior Project Accountant - Shell Libya

Shell Libya is currently executing its multi-year exploration program in Libya, and is looking for experienced and motivated finance professionals to provide professionals to provide project accounting support to the technical and commercial departments, specifically to the drilling department.

Responsibilities:

• Contract value and cost management.
• (Well) activity and cost performance reporting.
• Activity based budgeting with latest views, and
• Providing project inputs for cash forecasting and financial closing processes.

Specific challenges are to pro-actively support line management in their journey to create value and drive cost efficiency, to coach junior (project) accounting staff, while managing the interfaces with the line, suppliers and contracting department.

Requirements:

• Finance university degree, and preferably have (started) ACCA/CIMA qualification.
• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant project accounting experience with an international (Oil) company.
• A team player, who is resilient, able to work under pressure, strong analytical and finance skills, good customer focus and pro-active working ethics.
• Strong ability to communicate fluently in both English and Arabic.
